Help Us Continue to Serve Genealogists in Vermont and Across the USA
The Vermont Genealogy Library is the home of the Vermont French-Canadian Genealogical Society, founded in 1996. We serve the broader genealogy community in Vermont in a variety of ways including the preservation of vital records, acquiring print and digital resources for family history researchers, offering classes, webinars, study groups and providing a friendly, supportive environment for members and visitors.
Our members and volunteers have considerable expertise in researching Vermont, northeast New York and particularly, Quebec. We also have experts on Irish, Scottish, English and many other European origins as well as a small team skilled in using DNA testing to resolve difficult genealogical problems.
Your donation can help us in many ways. For example, we occasionally have fundraisers for an item of capital equipment or a new database, like our acquisition of MyHeritage Library Edition. We currently have the need for funds to help us in our library’s new home. Our operating budget must contend with a 5X increase in rent now that we’ve left the historic old Dupont Building that St. Michael’s provided at greatly reduced rates.
If you decide to donate, please consider either mailing a check to us at VT-FCGS, 57 River Road, Suite 1027, Essex Jct., VT 05452 or by using the “DONATE” button below. We will use the funds where they are needed most, unless you specify a particular target for your donation.
We greatly appreciate your continued support.
And remember that the Vermont French-Canadian Genealogical Society is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, charitable organization. Donations made to the VT-FCGS are generally considered to be tax deductible contributions.
